“Hotel has excellent customer service on reception. The lady was very helpful and flexible on our requirements.”
The location was great.
The only place we could snag a bed that night because of an Iron Man event in Weymouth. The wall light over the dressing table was dead when I tried to do makeup, and the door wouldn’t lock.
“Well placed for access to the town centre, clean, friendly and food generally good. Expensive drinks”
Breakfast was generally good, but the fried eggs were often hard and the bacon over‑cooked and dry. The evening menu was good, food was well presented and reasonably priced, though we only ate there twice because there were many other great places within 5‑10 minutes walk. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent (Executive) and always clean and fresh. One minor issue: there was a glass shelf just above the sink and you couldn’t wash your face without bumping your head on it! The price for wine and beer was ridiculous. We found a pub (The Oak) just 4 minutes walk away where drinks were less than half the price, so we usually went there instead of the hotel bar, which was rarely crowded—wonder why? The bar was very small but did a good job.
