“Gelungenes Motorradwochenende”
We stayed over the weekend as motorcyclists, were greeted by Heinz with a welcome drink and allowed to use the generous garage; the owner's motorsport passion shows up everywhere. A nice terrace in front of the inn let us dine comfortably, the food is creative, tasty, uses regional products, and the portions are generous—clearly someone knows their craft, and the prices are totally reasonable (where can you still get a 0.5 l beer for €4.60?). The rooms were fine, had balconies, and seemed recently refreshed to a more modern, contemporary look. The breakfast area was modern and bright, and the restaurant was truly stylish; nothing was missing at breakfast and service was consistently excellent. The inn is very quiet, surrounded only by nature and even a lovely swimming lake. All in all, not a 3‑star hotel, but a country inn as it should be: family‑run, warm, a touch rustic, honest, and down‑to‑earth.
My companions complained that the double room cost €136.00, a bit high compared to other places, but it was peak season. The mattress was a bit sagging, the sink in the bathroom was small (room 2), and so was the TV.
