Being able to soak in the hot springs all night, the quiet and comfortable setting surrounded only by greenery and the lake, and the bus stop to Ikaho right in front made it ideal; nothing in particular to complain about.

The place was quiet, the room large and clean, and tea with sweets was provided, which I liked, but there was no water for making tea so I had to fetch some from the washroom, which was a bit off‑putting.

The setting was superb, absolute calm; the staff were genuinely very pleasant and the hotel, though a bit old, is well maintained; the value for money is remarkable and the onsen is enjoyable; the futons were a little too thin.

I appreciated that two meals were included, though one piece of sashimi was missing from my dinner portion.
