“Pas mal pour le prix”
The staff were kind, it wasn't too expensive, and the location was decent. The pool water was cold and the isolation was poor.

A sense of security. All feedback was immediately addressed by the staff. Hygiene varied from room to room.

It was moldy, filthy, and ridiculously pricey.

The place was straightforward, just enough for a half‑night stay while waiting to head to Bromo, Ijen, or Bali; the bed was decent even though the sheets and towels had holes, yet the room itself was clean. The pool was pleasant and the staff were friendly, but a mosque speaker was only 15 m from the balcony, loud during the day and perfect for a 3:30 a.m. wake‑up.

I arrived at the hotel at 4 a.m., and the room was a real mess: walls covered in mold, sheets that smelled awful, torn towels, a bathroom bin filled with the previous guest’s feces‑stained wipes, a room bin overflowing with trash, cobwebs everywhere, and the pool on the ground floor had thick, literally sludge‑like water. There was no toilet paper, and the outlets had holes. I’ve been traveling in Asia for years, always booking through Booking, and never had such a horrible experience; it wasn’t even cheap for an Indonesian hotel. I went straight to reception where several people were lying in the lobby, and the staff treated me badly. When I asked for a clean room, she claimed ours was clean, refused to show me the room, and was very rude. I asked for the manager, who was apparently not present, and demanded a refund of the cash payment I’d made (apparently they only consider refunds if you request before checking in because they’re aware of the situation). She denied it, saying it was a Booking issue and the hotel couldn’t refund me. I have photos of everything and have already posted a review on Google. I hope you’ll consider refunding the reservation; you can verify that we booked the ibis styles Malang through Booking for those dates. I’ve never had to leave a room in this condition in my life.
