“A comfortable peaceful break in the Essex countryside.”

The house sat in a beautiful countryside spot with great views from the property. Julie was friendly and helpful, and the old beamed house was charming. The listing said bed and breakfast, but I didn’t think it mattered because of the price; it would have been nice to clarify that it wasn’t a bed and breakfast for our booking.

“Relaxing”

I stayed from 30th July to 1st August for my son’s medal ceremony at the garrison and had a lovely time. Julie was wonderful, they have a big friendly dog, and while they don’t serve breakfast, I was told I could bring my own food since they have a kitchen to use. Everything was great.

“It was a convenient stop over.”

I stayed in a quiet spot on the edge of Birch village, which was clean and peaceful, but the room was hot and stuffy—there was no fan and I couldn’t keep the window or doors open. I was woken early by loud talking and walking above us, right outside the room.

The country cottage was lovely and quiet, and Julie was very friendly and accommodating.
