“Boa, más não sei se voltarei”
The breakfast remains excellent and the service is the same. The concierge service is impeccable. The absence of the old treats, good pens, and chocolate to arrange the bed for sleeping is a pity. The lobby bar is the most beautiful in Argentina, but it no longer offers the first‑class service it once had. It's a shame! I've already been to Alvear more than five times.
The carpet in the hotel corridors is nice. The polite staff immediately changed our room when we discovered an unpleasant paint smell in the originally assigned room. The spa hours were too short, especially the pool hours were particularly brief.

Comfort and cleanliness, everything works.
The coffee is flawless, the dishes are beautiful, the food is tasty, well served and nicely presented. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. In the hotel bar we ordered a drink and received a mix of nuts and dried fruit… which included a gravel stone that I accidentally ate… fortunately I didn't break my teeth. We understand that incidents like this can happen, though they are undesirable. What made me very angry was the lack of care when we complained: they took the cup away with a mild apology and nothing else! They didn't bring a new cup, we didn't see anyone informed about it, and they didn't leave the drink for us or offer a complimentary drink or anything. Absolutely nothing. We were horrified, but I don't like scandals, so we just left the bar. People, one of the best hotels in Buenos Aires!
