“would not stay here again..”

The staff were friendly, yet the photos were misleading – when my family and I arrived everything was burnt out, the rooms were tiny, and the bed was positioned too close to the door so it wouldn’t open fully, making entry awkward. My window faced a brick wall with no ventilation, and we had no AC; the AC unit in the room I booked, room 2, was just a decorative box that did nothing. The rooms stayed hot, the surrounding area was filthy with trash outside the rooms, a strong urine smell permeated the building, and the floors creaked so badly that I would not book here again unless I needed a last‑minute, cheap option like I did. For $160 I expected something better than this.

The room had a private bathroom, but the TV was tiny and far from the bed, making it hard to see, and the room I had to clean was not very clean at all.

There was no bathroom, blood stained the walls and ceiling, the window was bolted open, the room was filthy, the sheets were disgusting, the headboard was crooked, dirty, and falling down, and there was no parking. When I arrived, I saw the room and immediately asked for a refund; the front desk told me to contact them, so I did, and they said I had to wait for a callback, which I did. Then they informed me they couldn’t do anything and that it was up to the hotel to refund me. I went back to the office, told them, and they said that because it had been an hour I was stuck with the room or had to call. The customer service was the worst; I will never stay at Bay Hotel again.

“Extremely unsafe and toxic”

It was a shithole: walls covered in writing and holes, splatters of unknown liquids, a vent hanging from the ceiling, awful AC, cigarette burns on the blankets, mold everywhere in the shower, windows barely opening with flies everywhere, and no soap or towels for showering.

“Horrendous conditions. Only good for someone with a hangover who needs to sleep.”

The only thing I liked was how affordable it was. If you don’t care about location or conditions and just need a place to crash after drinking, stay here; otherwise it’s not worth it. The conditions were terrible: paint was peeling, stains were everywhere, the TV didn’t work, some light switches were non‑functional, foul odors permeated the room, and everything was falling apart. The only good thing was the front desk person, who was nice, but the room’s conditions were appalling.
