The place has a lot of character and some genuinely lovely touches. The staff were very friendly throughout our stay, and the grounds themselves are attractive. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the lighting created a really nice atmosphere. We also liked the mix of classic and modern features, the furniture and some of the quirkier design details. The additional amenities in the room, including bottled water, a dental kit and shaving kit, were also appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell a long way short of what I would expect from a hotel marketed and priced as a five‑star boutique property. The hotel did not feel particularly well maintained. Our bathroom had a large paint spillage mark on the floor, there were numerous old glass marks on the desk, some of the ceramics were chipped, and there were small but noticeable spot stains on both the sofa and the bed sheets, which was off‑putting. A number of the plants and shrubs around the grounds were also dead. Individually some of these things are fairly minor, but together they gave the impression of a property which was not being cared for to the standard you would expect at this price point. Breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. It is partly buffet and partly à la carte, although there was no menu, and both the choice and quality felt very limited for a hotel presenting itself as five‑star. There also appears to be no proper indoor breakfast area, so when the weather was poor we had to have breakfast in our room. Not a negative per se, but worth bearing in mind that the location is much further uphill from the village than we had expected. There is roughly 100 m of elevation gain walking back from the village, so this is worth bearing in mind if you expect to walk in and out regularly. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt quite strongly about this because the five‑star description significantly shaped our expectations and our decision to pay the price we did. There are things to like about the property, particularly its character, rooms and staff, but based on our experience I would not regard it as a five‑star hotel. Had we known what the experience would actually be like, we would not have paid what we did to stay here.

The location and setting are good. The service lacks food and a bar, and maintenance is lacking.

It was beautiful and serene with a gorgeous fresh‑water pool. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive. The TV wasn’t working and there was no iron. No office staff were present when we needed to check out at 9 am.

מקום מיוחד בית אחוזה מבצר מקומי משופץ, יפה שקט ונעים בלב מטע זיתים. החדר היה גדול יפיפה נקי ונוח עם עיצוב נהדר. זה מלון בוטיק שקט ולמרות שהיה די מלא היינו בברכה היפה שלו כמעט לבד. הצוות בארוחת הבוקר ובקבלה נעים ושרותי, ארוחת הבוקר נחמדה. נוח מאוד לטיולים בלאקה או לוגוס וחופים בסביבה. מומלץ מאוד להיות עם רכב כי הליכה ללאקה אפשרית אבל לפחות עשרים דקות לכל כיוון והחזרה בעליה מאתגרת. ממליצים בחום ונחזור בשמחה
