The staff were friendly and the room was a decent size, yet I chose this 4‑star hotel near Barajas airport and it fell short. It’s closer to the airport than central Madrid, but for an early‑morning flight the drive time isn’t much different, and the surrounding area isn’t the nicest you’ll ever stay. The room itself had problems: it was cold, the air conditioning only cooled, the shower layout made you either splash against the taps or end up with a bathroom that turns into a lake, and you can clearly hear what’s happening outside or in other rooms.
