Benkawasi Experience Huaraz

I stayed 10 days at this hostel and left feeling sad to go; it looks more like a hotel, the terrace kitchen is great, and the price is very fair with a good bed and shower. The room was a bit small, but I was mostly alone so it didn’t bother me.

Location: the hotel sits nicely in the center and on a cozy square. Staff: very friendly and helpful, both at the reception and in the restaurant. The restaurant and lounge on the ground floor are very pleasant, and the evening shower was super warm with a fine spray—great after four days in Santa Cruz. The rooms themselves are functional but could use a small upgrade to match the cozy and beautiful ground floor vibe; for the room price, it’s more than adequate.

“Fabelhaftes Hostel!”

The staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast area was great, laundry was fast and cheap, the beds were very comfortable, and the shower was hot. The rooftop with its terrace and lounge was lovely for hanging out. The kitchen could use improvement – many things weren’t really clean, knives were dull, but everything was there to cook yourself.

They offer flexible storage after your stay, are very accommodating and help you at all times. The place is very comfortable, has rooms of all kinds, and you can find various relaxation spots. I had no problems with the hotel.
