The location was superb, within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and the rooms were beautifully decorated. I had expected a yellow house, but it was painted grey and white instead; the website pictures should be updated.

A colonial property with high ceilings that offers a lovely mountain view from the balcony, a relaxed host who happily offers advice and recommendations, a safe neighborhood, and excellent local eateries – everything was just fine.

The place sits right in the middle of Kloof Street, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars, and a quick Uber ride takes you to the V&A Waterfront; Amy was fantastic, making sure we could check in late and check out early, and overall the stay was perfect.

The location and the host were great, and there was nothing to add.

Every morning there was a fresh, freshly cooked breakfast, the rooms were cleaned daily, and the hotel is conveniently close to Kloof Street’s restaurants and bars.
