The staff were caring! On Monday night our bikes were stolen from the parking lot, caught on camera. They called the police and tried to track the thieves. In the morning we saw the info in our room and were directed to the Nancy police. After some language delays they helped us well. The only complaint: the parking was not accessible to guests.

The reception was very present and carried out a careful and efficient job, so we chose the same hotel for our return trip. The shower was also an issue.

We stayed for two nights and a day visiting Nancy. What we liked: the slightly out‑of‑center location, the secure parking, and the ease of finding food within 10 minutes on foot; the staff were welcoming and eager to help; the bus access made visiting Nancy easy without worrying about a car; the room and overall cleanliness; the sound insulation was not perfect but good enough for decent sleep; breakfast met our “budget” expectations. What we disliked: no space to open a suitcase or put a few items—everything had to be on the floor, which is expected for a budget stay; there was no toothbrush in the bathroom, which was a pity. The staff were generally very friendly, but the young lady at the last breakfast was a bit off‑beat and gave an unsatisfactory response when my partner politely asked if a table could be cleaned for us: “Why? All tables are dirty?” She eventually got up and cleaned a few tables. Not very professional, even for a budget hotel, but I don’t lower the rating for the staff because one small slip shouldn’t tarnish the whole team.

The distance to the main road was a plus, but the reception took an unusually long time and we had to wait in a line that kept getting longer. The beds were not neatly made and there was a piece of toilet paper in the toilet; on a previous stay we even found a cleaning cloth in the bathroom. Another downside was that we couldn’t charge our Polestar, which was quite annoying.
