“we had a lovely stay, resort is well located and the facilities were in good condition.”

Breakfast was tasty with plenty of choices, and everyone was satisfied with the menu. The linen should be changed more regularly.

The property is fantastic, with a great pool, mini‑golf and large bungalows that feature wonderful terraces. We didn’t eat there, so we can’t comment on the food. The oven and stovetops run on gas, which meant we had to spend a bit of time getting the oven ready and so on; it would be better to allow more time for cooking because the equipment is somewhat sparse and could be improved.

The room stayed impeccably clean, and the lady in the dining hall greeted us warmly and was very helpful. Nothing else to note.

The staff were friendly. I had booked here after a good experience at Gooderson Drakensberg Sun, but I left quite disappointed. The upkeep of the place isn’t up to that standard. The poolside had moss and was slippery. The game area only offers a pool table, table tennis and foosball. The rock pool had a fishy smell. The rooms were satisfactory. There was no hot water in the shower. Most days the restaurant only served a buffet and pizza, with no à‑la‑carte menu. Personally I would never return to Monks Cowl.

Tranquility. Room 24 had no sun filter curtain so main curtain could not be opened There was a long piece of hair in my food. Informed your waitress and she just said '"sorry" Your showers the water is not flowing but goes down very slowly so your feet are still in the water after showering
