The guest house is listed as 500 m from Zhabeshi, but it’s actually more than an hour’s walk (even 1 h 30) and adds that much time to the Zhabeshi Adishi trek. The food was very average. The bed was uncomfortable and the meals were basic.

We were welcomed very warmly and enjoyed the lovely garden in the hammock. It’s a great place where everything feels very authentic, and you stay with the family. One tip: make sure to agree on the price in writing beforehand (overnight stay, breakfast, dinner). At check‑out we had to pay the room rate all at once per person. Other than that, everything was perfect and highly recommended.

I was welcomed with open arms by the whole family at this authentic guesthouse, and the host speaks fluent English, making communication a breeze. The food is typical Svaneti, freshly prepared, and before I knew it I was milking a cow with Lizzy or enjoying Elena’s Georgian dance.
