“Five stars for the Bayside Boutique Retreat and another five for the host!”

Mel's place feels like a little slice of paradise near the bay, shops, cafés, and especially the golf courses. We usually struggle to sleep when we’re away and miss home, but we didn’t have that problem on this trip—thanks mainly to the lovely surroundings and the comfort level at Mel's place. Besides its great location, we found the layout and amenities to be perfect for us. The garden was beautiful, and the thoughtful little touches Mel left for us were truly appreciated. A host can really make a stay special, and Mel is a superstar—thoughtful, pleasant to talk to, and she really took the time to ensure we had a great stay. We’ve never met a better host. I can’t rate Mel or her lovely home any higher.

“Enjoyed our stay, and it suited our purpose.”

The breakfasts matched our requests, and the coffee machine stocked plenty of pods. We had a washing machine for our own laundry and the shower always supplied hot water. Dining outdoors in the quiet courtyard was a nice touch. The downside was that TV needed a personal account; the kitchen felt too cluttered, and a mosquito drape over the bed was a bit of a nuisance because it wasn’t tucked away.

Mel’s hospitality was wonderful, the accommodation was great, and the breakfasts were exceptional. There was nothing negative; everything was great!
