The location is good, but remember that Florence is small and any monument can be reached on foot. Getting the keys was difficult, the assistance was not very available, the windows faced a skylight that released fumes from the kitchens of the restaurants below, so the whole place constantly smelled like grilled meat. Of the four fans, only one worked, and the fake air‑conditioners were unusable because the exhaust had nowhere to vent. The furniture was old and heavily worn, and my room faced a terrace that looked like a storage room; I couldn’t even open the window for fear someone might come in.

“Do not go there… pay more and go somewhere else”

I had to move to a different site because the host said there were problems, so I ended up walking 20‑30 minutes to the new location at the edge of the city center. The bed was broken, ants swarmed the kitchen, and mold appeared in the corners and windows. At the end, they tried to charge me for the tax twice even though I had already paid it when booking.

The spot was spot on, right in the old town and within walking distance of the train station. The fridge worked well and the shared area let us whip up a quick bite. However, the room and the common area had only small, floor‑level windows that let in barely any light or air, and a loud air‑conditioner made sleeping nearly impossible. The bathroom was decent but the shower had mildew. Checking in was a hassle: it was abruptly shifted to WhatsApp with ID photos, confusing instructions on how to find the key at another address felt like scout‑style, and we had to leave a €6 tourist tax per person per day in cash without a receipt.
