“Dire and noisy .”
I was staying opposite a Sainsbury’s store, but the bathroom was in terrible condition and the staircase seemed illegal. The living room had an unclean, funky smell, and the bedding and towels were just as bad. The worn, smelly sofas need to be replaced right away.
“Terrible”
The place smelled like marijuana, and dogs barked at us as we tried to enter. The light in one bathroom didn’t work, and the other room didn’t have a bathroom at all. We left at 8:30am after the police had to be called over a fight in one of the rooms.
“Good experience, but short of safety. Almost got bitten by two untamed dogs on both stays.”
I liked the room and the kitchen, but I’m disappointed that safety wasn’t a priority. An occupant with two untamed dogs bullied everyone. The property is a public space and should warn guests against bringing pets. On the two occasions we stayed there, we almost got bitten by those dogs—first time in early December by my brother, second time this week by me. If a permanent solution isn’t found, customers who value safety will look elsewhere. Thank you.
“House was clean but was not a fan of the 2 rooms being so far apart”
The door locks worked fine, but the stairs, bed, and overall room left a lot to be desired.
“Pleasant but could sometimes be daunting when harrassed by dogs.”
I liked that the property felt like a home—quiet and comfortable. However, I absolutely hate that some guests are allowed to bring dogs that harass other occupants. The property is a public space and should be treated as such. Dogs are dangerous and on two separate occasions my brother and I almost got bitten by two untamed dogs. The dog owner casually paraded the dogs around the living room as if he was the only one there. It’s scary and frustrating to think that the freedom you pay for can be taken away by the presence of untamed dogs. Management needs to act quickly and forbid pets for the safety of everyone. I’ll stop using the Cinematic Journey if I get harassed by dogs or any other animal again. Thanks.
