“Experiência muito ruim”

The location alone didn’t make up for everything. We had a rough experience from the moment we arrived at the Wyndham Alameda Campinas on Sunday 28/06 at 16h00, when the receptionist kept insisting, “Qual o número do apartamento?” I was confused because, when we booked through Booking, the apartment number is never given in advance. I kept asking her to look it up on the check‑in list, and in a moment she found it; that’s when we started noticing the lack of hospitality at Wyndham. The next day, while heading to breakfast, the counter staff struggled to welcome us; I felt I was in the way while watching videos on his phone at full volume, and his words, “Qual o quarto?” were devoid of the basic courtesy “Bom dia!” I told him my room number, and he replied that breakfast wasn’t included in my room. I politely said I would have breakfast and then show him the Booking confirmation that included breakfast, but he returned during my meal to show me the list that my reservation didn’t include breakfast, which killed my appetite, and I went straight to the receptionist who said, “Your reservation is a flat independent of the hotel and the host didn’t inform us!” If I book a hotel for a couple with breakfast included, I don’t care if Wyndham Alameda Campinas has poor communication with the flat owner; that shouldn’t reach the guest. I showed the email confirming 2 adults – breakfast included, after which the receptionist apologized, saying it was only one breakfast included, not two… I insisted that my agreement, as stated in the reservation, was for two breakfasts, not one. Another uncomfortable point was the message I received from the platform asking for a 10‑point rating before the experience was even finished, showing amateurish hotel management.

“Falta de transparência e transtornos no check-in.”

The great location made getting around the city easy, the room was impeccably clean, and every staff member was friendly and attentive. The free parking was another big plus, saving us time and money. The main disappointment was the lack of information in the listing that the stay was a private flat within a hotel; I only learned this at reception, which caused confusion and unmet expectations about the booking process. Even though the room was ready, the owner offered no flexibility for early check‑in. An extra fee was required for early access, and no alternative or consideration was provided. Consequently, my wife and I had to wait from 12h to 15h to get into the room. This is my fourth trip to São Paulo, and in all previous hotel stays I never encountered this type of issue. The experience was frustrating due to the lack of transparency and the absence of cordial handling of the situation.

“Decepcionante”

I couldn’t stay there because the place smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, the room was dirty, the table had coffee residue from the previous guest, the bed had a lot of hair, and the floor was also messy! No cleaning had taken place after the previous guest left. Only the bed was made.
