“Need of updating”
The location was good. The hosts were friendly. Breakfast was fine. However, the bed and breakfast needed some TLC. The house has a lot of character, but it feels quite dated and would benefit from being redecorated, painted, and generally updated. The bed was a particular issue for us: it was extremely high and required a stool to get on and off, which wasn’t very practical. The mattress was also uncomfortable, and the bed made a loud cracking noise whenever we turned over, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The Wi‑Fi was very poor during our stay, and we were unable to get a mobile phone signal at all, which made communication quite difficult. Overall, we felt the property would benefit from some investment and updating to make it more comfortable and suitable for guests.
