The hotel is acceptable for the price, so if you’re after basic lodging in Da Nang with low expectations it might work, but the biggest issue isn’t the hotel itself, it’s the cleaning staff whose conduct seriously spoils the experience. They show a total disregard for guests’ privacy and sleep, with no “Do Not Disturb” signs to hang on the door, so the cleaners routinely knock on doors in the early morning. One day they knocked on our door FOUR TIMES, starting at 8 a.m., with about 45 minutes between each knock. We told them to stop and come back later, yet they kept disturbing us. When we asked to speak to a manager, none was available, indicating that no one takes responsibility for legitimate complaints. Noise is another major problem: you can hear the cleaners shouting and talking loudly in the corridors even early in the morning. When they’re not noisy, you might see them lounging on beds in empty neighboring rooms, watching videos on their phones as if they’re in their own living room instead of working in a hotel where paying guests try to enjoy peace and quiet. Their attitude is unfriendly and they don’t seem concerned about guest comfort. They bring their cleaning carts into the elevators with little regard for guests, and apparently use the couches on the top floor as their personal resting area, even sleeping there. This is especially ironic because that same floor supposedly has a gym, and calling it a gym is generous.
