There was plenty of space and it was very relaxing; the kids felt safe and had plenty of room to explore. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. A large group of men party‑ing all night were a nuisance, but after I messaged the staff and sent them videos, they handled it well and we slept nicely the next night. The beds creak and the bathroom didn’t clear condensation well after showering; a bath mat would help because the floor gets very slippery.

The location was great, back to nature for us and our dogs. The kids loved playing in the river and the dogs enjoyed walking. It was a fantastic holiday for quality family time. The lodge was spacious, comfortable, and relatively clean. I appreciated the baby gate at the top of the stairs. There were no dog‑poop bins on site, no dustpan and brush in the lodge, no parking directions, and only one shared BBQ for cooking; a small electric grill would have been useful, so we bought one. The internet was intermittent, so the TV in the lodge was useless, but we didn’t mind that.

The site was lovely and the lodge was huge. The location was good for us, and we got a really good deal. The staff were friendly, and it felt like a home away from home.

The location's not bad, but that's about the only good thing I can say. The place wasn't cleaned properly - the bathroom had mold, the floor got wet when you showered, and the kitchen was dirty and dusty everywhere.

The woodlands around here are lovely, but our stay was a disaster. We booked five chalets and the one my family stayed in, Chalet 13, was a mess. Dust everywhere, cobwebs in the bedrooms, a bathroom that reeked of urine, and a filthy toilet. And it wasn't just that - there was a leak from the waste pipe, making the floors soggy. When we lifted the sofa cushions, we found all sorts of gross stuff.
