HOTEL ALGO

I stayed on the first day of Silver Week. Check‑in was three hours later than planned, and the stay was short, so I couldn’t fully enjoy the first‑time Arima Onsen or the toys. Still, the hotel was lovely and the hot‑spring town was wonderful. The Golden Hot Spring was right in front of the hotel, making walking around easy. Because of the late check‑in, most shops were already closed when I went out, which was a shame, but during my stay I had a lot of toys and card games to keep me excited and relaxed. The tea sweets were delicious, and I could almost taste the bread at breakfast. The staff were very friendly, contacting me several times from the reservation and always smiling. The welcome drink could be taken out, which felt warm and welcoming.

I went with my kids, so having a ton of toys was a huge plus. The two kids were 5 and 1, and I worried they might not find toys they liked, but the room and the toy plaza on another floor offered a wide variety, keeping them entertained. The tatami area and spacious layout, plus a bed, made it comfortable for all ages. The on‑site hot spring was right in front of us, so morning baths were easy, and the nearby shops made strolling simple. I’d definitely stay here again.

I had one of the best accommodation experiences ever! The service was incredibly thoughtful before and after my visit, the room cleanliness was out of this world, and the hotel, including the 2nd‑floor coffee shop Sabor, was all craftily designed with plenty of toy or table‑game references. The poker‑card‑room key was genius and lovely, and the “toy designer table” in each room is full of toy details; each room already had a nice toy placed. The 4th‑floor night visit experience is also one of a kind, letting you fully immerse yourself without worrying about closing time. Parking service is a bit far because the contracted lot sits next to the Arima Onsen cable‑car station, but they do provide a shuttle to make things a lot easier.

All the staff were incredibly attentive; although the parking lot is farther from the hotel, they provided shuttle service both ways. Our room was on the third floor inside a toy museum, with a direct elevator to the 4‑6th floors where the kids could play freely. On the first day a short‑haired young man handled check‑in, stored our luggage, suggested local walks, explained the onsen and the room, all with a natural smile and thoughtful hospitality that I’ve never seen elsewhere. Thanks to him, I’ll definitely return to this hotel when I next visit Arima Onsen. My wife, our two daughters and I were completely satisfied – thank you very much, and stay cool in this heat.
