“罗马太好了,cloudia家很棒。希望cloudia身体保持健康,未来能有机会再次来到这里。”
I chose to stay in a local home in the northeast residential area of Rome for my first trip to Italy, and it turned out to be a perfect decision. The house has two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen, plus a nice little balcony next to the living room. You share the common areas with the host, but the guest room can be arranged as a single‑bed or double‑bed room as you wish. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished, clean, convenient and fully equipped. You receive keys to the building, the apartment and the door, becoming a temporary resident of Rome. The host, Cloudia, is a gentle, caring, intellectual and lovely older woman who contacts you before arrival, welcomes you warmly on the day of arrival, shows you the room, nearby transport and recommends food and tips. She answers all your questions enthusiastically and even offers reliable travel advice, but keeps a respectful distance so she doesn’t disturb your rest. We arrived the next day on Italy’s National Day, and Cloudia informed us about the transport changes that day, warned us about rain and even offered an umbrella; she also let us use the balcony to hang laundry. The area isn’t in the city center, but it’s not far either—just a few steps to a bus stop or a 15‑minute walk to the historic center. The neighborhood has a supermarket, fruit shop, restaurants and an ice‑cream shop that serve locals. Prices and taste are much better than those near the tourist spots! Cloudia also provides excellent breakfasts; I looked forward each day to her homemade breakfast, which included coffee, toasted bread, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit and juice, giving you plenty of energy. If you want to experience the city deeply rather than just checking off sights, I highly recommend staying here. I’ll definitely return to Rome and stay again.
