Dam House Lodge

Nothing positive at all 😒😒 The place is filthy; what you see in the photos isn’t what you get. In the pictures the location looks beautiful, but the reality is different. Everything is bad, even the pool is dirty, they don’t clean the toilet, and they only change the sheets.

The neighborhood is decent and the views are the only thing that impressed me, and Madison was very helpful and always ready to assist. The driveway and parking could at least use a Carpot, and Scott, who I think is the manager, referred to us as “blacks.” When I asked if they could ensure no cats were nearby because I’m allergic, he replied, “I know you ‘black people’ don’t like cats,” which made us uncomfortable. The shower wasn’t working properly, and we never received the towels we requested.

“Upgrades Needed”

The location is fine. The property needs upgrades, and the bathroom taps aren’t working properly 😒 😑

It was quiet and easily accessible. No towels were in the room, and there was no staff available to report the issue.

“What a disappointment”

Absolutely NOTHING!!!!. From entering the premises it was bad, rubbish bin flowing over with pizza boxes. Old building scrap lying around. Garden in bad state. Steps leading up to the "lodge" was so difficult to climb, unstable and poorly build. Steps inside the entrance side bar against the wall is a broken pvc pipe. Old furniture, decor and bedding. Just not a nice scene at all. I will never sleep there, everything there made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Asked for a refund wich they denied me. Had to go find somewhere else to sleep. I will definitely take this further because with false advertisement i was scamned out of R1400. I believe booking, com are also responsible for the loss of my money because they need to make sure that the accommodation they advertise on their website is legid
