The neighborhood was quiet. However, the hotel charged the daily rate to my card before check‑in without asking if I needed to split it. Some details matter for a good experience. The breakfast was simple but adequate, the service was friendly, and the room was comfortable. The bathroom was the downside: it lacked proper cleaning, had a bit of mold in the corners, which was off‑putting, but I couldn’t do anything about it. The worst part was that we booked through a platform where we normally just add the card for security and pay at check‑in, but that didn’t happen. I responded to the hotel’s message around 10 am saying I’d need to split the reservation cost. We arrived at 18 h, but at 16 h they had already charged the full amount, no question. I needed to split. The owner, who is always present, said the card company wouldn’t allow a cancellation and would find a way, maybe sending me a Pix to pay and then I’d split it again. She said we could sort it at check‑in if I stayed another day. On the last day, during checkout, they told me I could still do the arrangement because the hotel would be at a loss. Will it? Will they really be at a loss? I left very upset, now I have to pay everything at once without the means. I felt a huge lack of respect. That’s why I don’t recommend it and won’t stay again.
