Everything was spotless and comfortable, and having a 7‑Eleven in the same building was super convenient for grabbing food and drinks, but watch the address—there are two hotels with this name in Beijing and a taxi could drop you at the wrong one.

The room was cleaned daily and the staff always met every request. The hotel sits close to the metro and a park is nearby. A shopping mall is 20 minutes away and a McDonald’s is just 3 minutes away. The photos made the hotel look a bit fresher, so we were a little disappointed after arrival, but it’s livable. The shower leaked.

A great choice if you’re watching your budget, with a fantastic buffet offering a huge variety that lets you sample Chinese dishes and still find European breakfast items, plus a coffee machine that’s simply beloved; housekeeping refreshed the room and towels daily, free bottled water was provided each day, the bathroom had all the basics, the room was spacious, and although the building is a bit dated, it still works well; the ten‑storey hotel sits a five‑minute walk from the metro, in a quiet area with easy access to the main sights along the green line, near a 7‑Eleven and a cheap local café (we didn’t eat there because we left early and returned late); they checked us in at 10:00 am, which was a huge relief after a night flight, and the staff were wonderful—no English needed, they were just great.
