“Excellent hotel!”
We’ve stayed at the Promenade Hotel before and again felt very comfortable. The staff were generally friendly, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and we genuinely enjoy staying there; we’ve already booked another stay for October. Unfortunately, the booking process and the check‑out situation were a bit confusing this time. We reached out to the hotel weeks in advance but didn’t get a confirmation, then booked and later had to call again to ensure everything was set. At check‑out we were surprised by an extra charge for card payment, which hadn’t happened before. Afterward the hotel management called me personally and explained the booking issue and payment policy, which I appreciated. The main problem wasn’t the amount or the payment method; it was the overall handling and the fact that several small inconveniences piled up. Overall, we still like the Promenade a lot, feel very welcome, and look forward to returning in October. I hope future communication and confirmations will be smoother.
