The room was very cozy and had everything I needed, including a superb shower. Staying here was a great introduction to Yan'an, with two historic revolutionary war sites nearby. A lively market lies just across the river, and a cheerful public square hosts Tai Chi in the morning and Mahjong in the evening.

Despite the hotel's friendly staff and spacious room, our stay was marred by the pervasive cigarette smoke and limited breakfast options. Although the staff was welcoming, their lack of English language skills made communication challenging, and the hotel's non-smoking policy was largely ignored. The outside noise and basic breakfast offerings further detracted from our experience.
