I drove to the hotel, and when dinner came around, they kindly drove me to the station, which was a huge relief. They also pointed out a bunch of cool spots along the way, which was a nice touch. Breakfast featured a generous spread of local specialties and seasonal vegetables, and it was absolutely delicious!

Everything was perfect—clean, welcoming hosts, a shuttle to town, and a calming aesthetic. Nothing to complain about.

They offer a shuttle service. Because of circumstances, I was significantly delayed arriving at Takayama Station, and the evening got late, so I had to decline the shuttle, but they happily accepted me anyway. Taxis seemed scarce and the roads looked dark, so having the shuttle was a real blessing. When we left, they again drove us to Takayama Station, which was very comfortable. The breakfast portion was just right, tasty, and the room (which had a second floor) was lovely—so much so that we were already planning a return stay. The staff were extremely kind. Thank you.

We loved the experience with Tai and his family. Leaving was hard because we were so warmly welcomed by this wonderful family. The house is beautiful, full of charm, and the room is also very nice, styled in Japanese but with superb bedding. Breakfast was excellent, and Tai takes great care to make your stay as smooth as possible. Since the house is a bit far from the city center, he offers to drop you off in the morning and pick you up in the evening, which is very convenient. If you want a unique, authentic yet comfortable homestay in Japan, don’t hesitate! Thanks again, Tai-san, for everything!
