WILD FORTRESS HOTEL Sigiriya

“Vreselijk, blijf weg!”

I'm still trying to process the nightmare that was our stay at this hotel. The place looked nothing like the photos on the booking website, and it's basically a construction site. The whole place is old, dirty, and broken. The pool is disgusting, the bed in our room was busted, and the bathroom door wouldn't even close properly. The shower was cold, and the toilet and sink were leaking all over the bathroom. Most of the outlets and lights in the room didn't work.

The hotel room was spotless and really good, which was a pleasant surprise given the overall vibe of the place. Unfortunately, that was about it - the rest of the experience was pretty underwhelming.

The hostess was super friendly and welcoming, and the view from our room was just stunning. It was like being in a nature sanctuary, with no traffic noise to speak of and just the sounds of the environment all around us. It was really lovely.

“Pour un petit budget très bon endroit en pleine nature !”

The hotel's strengths lie in its warm welcome, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly staff. They really know how to make you feel at home. Unfortunately, the pool area was a bit of a letdown due to the off-season maintenance, which was a shame. Still, the hotel's positives far outweigh its minor drawbacks.

“Very quiet and calm environment. Very happy to stay here”

It was fantastic, plain and simple. I'm not sure what else to say, but if you're looking for a great experience, this place is definitely worth checking out.
