They offered a shuttle to Futamiura Station, and even though it rained, they helped carry my suitcase inside and gave it a careful wipe down. Shoes taken off at the entrance were looked after, and the whole interior was shoe‑free, which I found very comfortable. The hospitality was extremely courteous, the room was spacious and spotless, and opening the window revealed the sea right outside with the famous Meoto‑iwa rocks nearby. The front‑desk staff were friendly, and both dinner and breakfast were so delicious and generous that I felt more than full after each meal; every side dish was prepared with care, and the rice was outstanding. I chose a Japanese‑style room with a bed that matched my ideal, complete with a large mirror that made makeup routines easy. The amenities even included socks, so I could travel light. With this level of service, comfort, two great meals, cleanliness, and hospitality, the price felt like a real bargain. There were no negatives at all—everything was so good I’m already dreading picking a hotel for my next trip.

The stay at Oishiya turned out to be truly remarkable, with the traditional sea‑view room offering a breathtaking panorama over the Japanese ocean and the enchanting Futami Okitami Shrine just a few minutes’ walk away, making night strolls easy. We also loved having both private and public onsens, which added to the calm and relaxed vibe. The dinner was the real star – a seven‑course menu that blended perfectly, looked gorgeous on the plate, and hit all the right notes. Service deserves a shout‑out too; the staff were consistently courteous, helpful and genuinely warm, so we felt at home right away. We’ll definitely return, as Ise remains one of the most beautiful and spiritual places we’ve ever visited. Everything matched our wishes and even went beyond what we expected.
