We didn't get into the hotel. The room we booked was occupied. The owner offered us another hotel they own, in a worse location, and we were forced to accept it. We got a room with no lake view and far from the water line, with windows to the busy street instead of the apartment with a lake view on the waterfront.

The place sits right next to everything – a short walk to the water, a few minutes to the market, and about 10 minutes to the city centre. The parking is safe, though a bit tight, and the motorcycles are watched by a camera. The owner acted quickly when the fridge broke and swapped it out the same day. The AC was very efficient, and for the price the location is superb. The Wi‑Fi worked great, and the room had a modest kitchenette. The only downside was not the hotel itself but the beach and town: everywhere there were cigarette butts, people smoked without regard for others, and the litter ended up in the sand – no wonder there were so many fires when those butts were also tossed from cars.
