The staff were super nice, especially the girls working in the restaurant—very helpful and always those nice big Kenyan smiles. The rooms are large, but the bedroom needs a TV.

Breakfast was delicious with many options, and the stay was wonderful! We spent one night at Hermosa and then moved to the Hemingway—fresh flowers everywhere, larger rooms, but you have to pay for it. Hermosa is a great bang for your buck!

The hotel and place are beautiful, the breakfast was good but modest compared to the places we stayed in Kenya. The room was big and nice, but a smoke smell from outside kept us awake on our last night. They offered to change the room after 10 pm, we declined because it was not practical to move all our things with two kids the night before checkout. So I had to improvise and block the bottom of the door with towels and pillows to stop the smoke. In general it’s a good hotel. Thank you to housekeeping for the towel decorations—we loved them. Ventilation was lacking.
