Overall, we had a pleasant stay and there are many things to appreciate about this hotel. The location is beautiful and the views are excellent. However, the strongest point of the hotel is definitely the staff. In general, everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and this made a very positive difference to our experience. There were, however, a few areas that I feel could be improved. The main restaurant was quite limited for my personal taste. The dessert section looked impressive because there was a huge selection of cakes and desserts, but unfortunately I didn’t find the quality or taste particularly good. Also, the beach is very pebbly, which is something worth being aware of before visiting. We also had an uncomfortable experience on our final day. My wife wanted a glass of champagne, but we were told that the particular champagne we asked for was only offered to guests when they first arrive at the hotel and that we should choose a different one. This was confusing because this had never been explained to us before, and I had been served exactly the same champagne at reception on previous days without any issue. As it happened on the day we were leaving, it unfortunately left us wondering why the policy suddenly seemed to be different. During our stay, we had also used a massage service and purchased a small item/service from the pharmacy. These charges were paid at checkout. However, when we were outside afterwards, members of staff questioned us again about whether these payments had been made. This made us feel uncomfortable, especially as everything had already been settled. It seemed that there was a lack of communication between different departments within the hotel. Overall, we liked many aspects of the hotel, particularly the location, views and the friendliness of the staff. However, for a hotel of this standard, we expected clearer communication, better coordination between departments and a more professional handling of payments and additional services. Another situation I found very unprofessional was related to the hotel review. Nezir Bey asked me if I would be willing to leave a review about the hotel, and of course I agreed. We sat down and he ordered me a drink. I was expecting him to simply open the review page for me so that I could write the review myself. However, while we were talking, without me realising it, he opened the review page himself, wrote comments on my behalf about both the hotel and himself, and submitted the review without telling me anything. I had absolutely no idea that he had written or submitted a review on my behalf. I only discovered this later when I received an email from the review platform. When I opened the email and saw the review, I was genuinely surprised to realise that a review had been written and posted in my name without me seeing or approving what had been written. I found this very unprofessional. A guest review should reflect the guest’s own words and genuine experience, not something written and submitted by a member of staff on their behalf. It also left me questioning whether this kind of practice could be one of the reasons the hotel has such exceptionally high ratings and whether other guests may have had similar experiences
