Breakfast was good, though not extravagant. The décor was absolutely stylish and tastefully done in a “modern country house” style – a dream come true! The bathroom was just as impressive. The location was indescribably idyllic, with no direct neighbours and absolute quiet. The hosts were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Siena and Arezzo (the city centres) were reachable by car in 20‑30 minutes, and there were very good to excellent restaurants within 5‑10 minutes by car. I can only recommend it warmly. If you have an interest in horses, it’s even nicer… We had breakfast outside with a view of the horse paddock, and a little Shetland pony would beg for a bite… (I have two horses and ride regularly even at 70 years old) Dr. med S. Salup, Wiesbaden. Perhaps the breakfast could be better, although it didn’t leave us wanting anything.

“Mancanza di chiarezza e rischi igienico-sanitari”

The location was close to Siena, even though it was hard to reach because of the uneven dirt road. It isn’t the first time my girlfriend and I stay in nature‑immersed accommodations, and we live in a rural area, so we’re not writing against rustic surroundings. Our negative experience stemmed from a lack of safety and hygiene standards that apply to all types of lodging. One evening my girlfriend saw a rodent escape from a crack in the ceiling into the bathroom. After notifying the owner, she confirmed she had known about it for a while: it was a ghiro that had made a nest in the boiler area at the back, connected to the bathroom through that crack. We find such a situation unacceptable: any other animal of the same size could pass through that crack, whether pleasant or not, harmless or not. The responsibility is not the ghiro’s, obviously, but whoever should make the accommodation safe. Another unpleasant incident happened the next day: we found our parking spot occupied by free‑roaming cows grazing, and we didn’t know how to get back home. The owner hadn’t warned us about this either and didn’t offer the help we asked for, instead dismissing us with a joke, “the cows don’t open doors.” In conclusion, we left the accommodation a day earlier than planned. As guests, we expected clarity and respect.

“Book without breakfast and make your own in the kitchen”

The only downside was breakfast – it was a joke. Even though Italian style usually means limited choices, this place was praised for it, so we expected it to be decent. Instead, only a handful of items were available and the prices were too high for what you get.
