The rural setting was nice, but the room was dusty and drab, with bare walls and no paintings; the shower was kind of gross. The room was right off the entryway, so it was loud when everyone ran water or flushed the toilet. Breakfast was cold one day even though we were there at 8:30, the starting time.

The place was peaceful, with good use of common spaces and walking trails, but the bed frame squeaked.

The soaps and bed linens were great quality and the fresh cut flowers in the rooms were beautiful, yet the rooms were very small, the bathroom even smaller (couldn't close the door and sit on the toilet at the same time), the doors were all incredibly loud and squeaky, and the walls were thin so you could hear everything. The main floor shared bathroom towel was never changed or cleaned, the main shared fridge smelled terrible and was full of old food, the shared garbage was overflowing for days before being changed, there were dead bugs in shared spaces for days indicating they weren't being cleaned, and there were consistent issues with breakfast accommodating dietary restrictions that were communicated in advance. Additionally, the electrical circuit was consistently tripped during breakfast and since no one is regularly present on site, it was up to the guests to either reset the circuit breaker themselves or contact the host to come to reset it. The hosts seem to have a very hands‑off approach to running things despite living right there.

The place feels very welcoming and is right next to Roche Harbor, with Friday Harbor only a short drive away. The rooms, however, are extremely small and the bathroom lacked a door or curtain.

Breakfast was tasty, and hot water and tea were always on hand; I especially liked the linen napkins. The common areas were beautifully and sparsely decorated with organic cotton, plenty of light, and a very relaxing vibe, and strolling around the grounds was enjoyable. The surroundings were gorgeous. The only downside was staying in the "ADA room" just inside the inn’s front door—tiny, with no space for clothes, and the toilet was inside the room, which felt odd. I understand the need for compliance, but I’d suggest avoiding Room 1 unless you really need it. A small note: fruit at breakfast would be nice, beyond the fruit already in the coffee cakes, which were delicious.
