We returned to Cala Cuncheddi at the start of September after spending 10 days there at the end of May last year, and the scenery, beach, and friendly staff were again a pleasure. However, breakfast quality stayed disappointing for both visits; last year there were no fresh vegetables at all, and this year only a few appeared, plus there were no olives, which is unusual for Italy/Sardinia. The biggest annoyance was the addition of two “discretionary” taxes: a 5 % charge on the entire room price, including HB, and a 15 % fee for extras, bringing the total to about 600 € for 7 days, which felt like a hidden price hike.
