Overall everything good, but the shower head in the bathroom doesn’t hang on the wall, so showering is inconvenient.

One of the most beautiful guesthouses I’ve stayed in while visiting Kyrgyzstan, with a wonderfully warm and very hospitable family. It feels more like a homestay: you have breakfast, tea or dinner at the big family kitchen table and usually end up chatting with grandma, grandpa, grandchildren, or other guests. The table is always set with tea, sweets, homemade jam, honey and pastries. Pure Kyrgyz hospitality at its best! I loved it during the four days I spent here. The room was simply furnished but spacious enough, featuring a large, very comfortable double bed. The bathroom (toilet and shower) is shared with two other rooms, yet it was always clean and had hot water. The family’s property is a bit outside the city center, in the south of Karakol. It takes about twenty minutes to walk to the famous church, about thirty minutes to the bus terminal at the central bazaar and to many restaurants. That was fine for me. Otherwise, taxis are very available in Karakol. I would book again anytime.
