I was really impressed with the hotel's rooms – they were stunning. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. However, the food was a bit of a letdown – it just didn't live up to the high standards I'd expect from a top-end hotel.

What a gem of a place – the chef here is a culinary mastermind, and every single dish I had was a real treat. But it's not just the food that makes this lodge stand out – the staff are genuinely wonderful, and they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. From learning our names to escorting us to our room after dark, they really looked after us. The property itself is also breathtakingly beautiful, and I'd go back to Tanzania just to stay here again.
