The accommodation is friendly and well‑located, but the directions are terrible. You have to take the path opposite the church entrance and go to the back of the passage that leads to PASHKO Guest House.

“Enttäuschend”

The location was great for starting hikes. The room and bathroom were clean but very basic. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach the property with our small rental car because gravel roads were prohibited, so we parked at the entrance and walked the last stretch. This seems to be a common issue for most lodgings in Theth. We expected a slightly better setup for the price. The shower sits right in the middle of the bathroom, has no divider or tub, so everything gets wet while you’re showering.

The local plum jam at breakfast was a nice touch. There was no hot water upon arrival due to power issues in the town, and there was not even a shower curtain.

“Energieloos.”

The staff were friendly and tried to find solutions for the stay’s shortcomings. We were given a power bank, which we had to return an hour later. There was no electricity, so we couldn’t charge our phones and the room was dark at night. When we asked about it during the day they said it would be fixed in the evening. Later that night they told us they had been without power all month.

The meals were super tasty. The host was very kind and helped us a lot. Breakfast was simple but delicious.
