“We stayed at Podere Antica Grotta in Chiusi, Italy, and were very satisfied. Even before we arrived, the hosts had booked vineyard visits and ensured we had a great experience. The breakfast was homemade and delicious, with a fantastic view. The rooms were newly renovated and fresh, and the hosts were attentive and helpful. Perfect for couples who want to explore the area.”
The agriturismo opened recently, located in a very quiet area, yet close to the center of Chiusi. It’s run by the owners with great passion and attention to the guest. The rooms are spacious, functional and very clean. Breakfast is a buffet, with high‑quality products personally prepared by the owner, reflecting the passion in this work (cakes and biscuits, yogurt, juices, jams). Because of the season we could enjoy it outdoors, under a patio, to fully appreciate the tranquility of the location. The location is strategic for reaching various sites between Tuscany and Umbria. The owner is available to give very useful advice for various itineraries in the area. Some guests will surely appreciate the presence of a jacuzzi tub in the garden. It will certainly be a reference point for future trips to the area. The only thing we didn’t like was, it’s a matter of habits, the presence in the bathroom of a Japanese toilet, which means the absence of a traditional bidet.

My girlfriend and I weren’t just looking for a place to sleep; we wanted a spot to slow down. We found it here with Alessio and Sonia. In a few days this agriturismo had captured our hearts. It’s a clean place in every detail, quiet and surrounded by nature: in the morning we woke early to watch the goats grazing in the fields around. A peace that has no price. Sonia’s breakfast tastes like home: sweets made every morning, yogurt and bread made by her, fruit juices and jams chosen from local producers, all with natural ingredients. Every morning is a different treat. Alessio and Sonia are kind and available, always ready to advise you on what to visit and offer you a thousand activities nearby. They make you feel like a guest and part of the family. We left with full hearts and a promise to return soon.

The accommodation is very nicely located with a great view. The hosts are very warm and gave us great tips for exploring the surroundings. It’s an optimal starting point for trips to southern Tuscany, Lake Trasimeno, and Orvieto. The breakfast is a dream – we’ll come back gladly 😊☀️
