The view is beautiful in front of the mountains. The breakfast isn’t balanced; it’s too sweet and lacks enough local Moroccan products.

“Hiking or not, the best you can choose”

We were thrilled to stay with Mohamed’s place! The property is gorgeous, featuring an outdoor terrace overlooking the mountains and village, plus a snug indoor salon for chilly evenings. Even though we rescheduled our arrival twice, the staff treated us with kindness and understanding, helping us out every step of the way. We dropped in unannounced at 19:30, exhausted and hungry, and they promptly handed us a comfortable room and even offered a tasty dinner, which was a lifesaver since nothing else was available at that hour. Their generosity was entirely voluntary and made a huge difference. We used the lodge as a base for a one‑day hike up Mount Toubkal, staying a night before the trek; the trailhead at Imlil is about a 30‑minute walk away, or you can park by the river for easy access whether you drive or not. The accommodation itself delivered everything a mountain lodge should: cozy beds, extra blankets, hot water, and excellent food. It had everything we needed, and we’re hoping to return someday for more Berber whiskey.

I booked a night with them, but they never answered my calls or opened the door when I arrived. I asked for a refund and received no response, so they effectively stole my money and left me stranded without accommodation. I would not recommend booking there.

“Tranquility and breathtaking views at the start of the Toubkal trail.”

The view was spectacular. The room was comfortable, and the showers were hot. However, I didn’t realize how far the hotel was from everything else, so bring your supplies.
