The lodge feels very pleasant, sits in a great spot, and boasts a beautifully maintained garden. The breakfast is excellent, and the linens and towels are high quality. The mattress and shower are superb, and the room is spacious, cozy, and spotless.

The facilities fit the cozy lodge vibe for a winter season, but I would have liked more local breakfast options—some Minas sweets were missing, though that’s a minor detail. Overall, it’s a solid pick for a trip to Monte Verde.

The staff are extremely attentive, but you have to brave the rain to get coffee; a covered path would have helped.
