I stayed at a lodge on one of the island’s best beaches, right in the most charming spot. The room view was insane, the bed super comfy, and the space perfect for a good rest. Getting to the main trails was a highlight, as it’s close to other famous beaches. Palmas itself has plenty to enjoy; it’s very calm and not overly touristy, yet there are about three solid restaurants, stand‑up paddle rentals, and many spots to explore nearby. Bruna and Flávio at the reception were amazing and very helpful, making us feel at home and already planning a return.

The place is stunning, breakfast is magical, and the staff is genuinely nice! The books available are a great idea. There’s no supermarket nearby; you have to walk an hour and a half through a difficult forest to reach the nearest town, which wasn’t mentioned… Also, boat fares for each trip are exorbitant, so we had to stay mostly on the lodge’s own beach. The lack of a reception area is a bit inconvenient because we never quite know whom to ask or where to go with questions.

“Très bien”

The view is superb and the seaside breakfast is incredible. It’s close to many beautiful things you can walk to. The calmness compared to Abraão is notable. Getting there is a bit complicated unless you’re willing to sell a kidney, but it’s worth it.

The lodge’s view is one of the best I’ve seen on the island—paradise! Fernanda was super attentive to everything we needed. The Wi‑Fi is almost nonexistent, terribly bad.
