Location; very friendly staff; comfortable bed large room & shower. Steps leading down to rooms; pool looked like it was growing algae in places and the noise of the furniture being moved at around 11pm & again around 6am was very noisy so don’t be surprised if you are asleep to be woken up. TV did not work

The staff are very friendly and the central location is a short walk. The room was clean except for a bad bathroom smell. Noise was an issue: a busy restaurant upstairs kept chair and footfall sounds until 11 pm, and a dive shop below had staff playing music and smoking. The AC cycled off every 20 minutes despite trying to set the timer, making the night sweaty and sleepless. The bed was noisy and uncomfortable, and the steep steps to the room entrance made it tough for those with mobility issues. There are many better options at the same price.

“Habitación bien, sin servicios (la piscina en realidad es un centro de buceo)”

La habitación es cómoda y estaba limpia y fresca. El personal atento (son los camareros del bar del mismo nombre). No tiene la clásica piscina, es para clases de buceo y no hay zona para estar. Puedes bajar a remojarte pero compartes con los alumnos de curso del centro de buceo. El acceso a la habitación es por un callejón de escaleras, no apto si problemas de movilidad

“Slept very badly”

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel sits right on the sea with a small pool and comfy sunbeds to unwind. The room, however, was terribly noisy—road traffic, motorbikes, and loud music played late into the night. A glass panel above the door offered no curtain, letting in too much light at night and early in the morning, so even with earplugs and an eye mask sleep was hard. The price was decent, but the noise and light were the biggest downsides.

“Friendly and homely with a.great view”

Mandela greeted me warmly, making the stay feel like home, and I didn’t feel pressured to dine at The Smoke House, though the food was excellent (I got a 10% discount). The sea view from the room was stunning, with a touch of local culture just below, and the balcony loungers looked great even though I didn’t use them much. The marina was a 10‑minute walk, only slightly away from the busier part. The bed was very comfortable and the walk‑in shower was spacious. The room lacked shelves in the bedroom and bathroom, so there was nowhere to store toiletries; the basin’s angles made balancing items impossible, and the toilet had to be used as a makeshift shelf. I found the room had no hairdryer, but the staff found one upstairs for me, though it should have been in the room if listed. Restaurant noise was mostly quiet, but I could hear chairs moving at night and early morning; ear plugs were provided and I expected some noise given the room’s location. The steps down to the rooms were very steep (about knee height). Overall, it was a lovely stay and I’d return.
