The room was lovely, beautifully decorated, and oddly arranged because of the old building. The staff were wonderful. It was very quiet even though it was above a pub, so I couldn't hear anything from downstairs. We dined there in the evening and the food was delightful.

The location was great for Stansted. The carpet and bathroom were dirty with built‑up grime and spider webs, looking shabby and scuffed. There was no hot water, so I had to take cold showers. The advertised tea and coffee facilities were missing teabags. The door kept banging all evening into the night, shaking the bed.

The staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. Check‑in was quick and easy. The room had lovely beams, the bed and linens were high quality. This was my second stay and I would definitely recommend it. Nothing to complain about.

Greeted with a friendly welcome - was asked for my driving licence again despite having provided it on the booking system after pre-paying for my stay. My driving licence were listed in an open diary for anyone to access #GDPR - no information given to me as to what happens with this information. Food at King's Arms was nice but not value for money. Room - tired, shower was so unappealing to get into - so it wasn't used. Toilet system just didn't flush properly. Empty courtesy shampoo/soap hand-wash containers - crusty dregs! Tea and coffee box hadn't been refilled only 1 person in a room of 2 could have a drink No spoon, so spectacles used to fish out teabag! Could we ask anyone when it comes to breakfast tea in your room - No! Everyone is off site self check-out.! By the time you realise all the things are missing, pub is closed and its just you Good location- anywhere near Stansted is good but for £100 a room I expected service and quality - at least the basics covered. Bleach bottle left outside our room door hy cleaner obviously an added bonus!. All the above!

I liked the spot and the room was spacious, the decor was nice and the bed comfy even though it’s basically two single mattresses together. The room never got cleaned even though the “make up my room” sign stayed outside all day because we were at a wedding. The first night was noisy from late‑night roadworks, something we thought the hotel should have known about. They offered a refund and said we could find another place, but how were we supposed to locate a new hotel at midnight? The corridors and the carpet in the hall and bedroom were a bit grubby.
