The room was very large with a fantastic mattress, quiet, and had a well‑equipped kitchen for cooking.

The staff were very nice and helpful, there was a wash option for 4 dollars, the value for money was very good, highly recommended; the only downside was that the shower had only cold water.

Fatima and Javier are amazing hosts! From the moment I arrived I felt like I was welcomed into their home. They are both so kind, Fatima helped me practice my Spanish, and they also helped me plan some travel using public transport. The property itself is incredibly clean, comfortable and safe. It’s about a 10‑minute walk from the centre, which is perfect because it’s really quiet at night. A short walk takes you to the bus stop to go to the volcano and a large supermarket. Nothing was wrong; everything was perfect.

It’s a nice, clean place on a quiet street, a 10‑minute walk from the centre. The kitchen is well equipped and the communal lounge is large but lacks a fan. I’d call it more of a large communal Airbnb than a hostel. Two points to note: the ensuite bathroom in the mountain view room doesn’t have a shower, just a toilet and sink. There is one communal bathroom that contains one toilet and one shower in the same room. The owner is very nice and responds to WhatsApp messages, but there is no staff on site. As a solo female traveller I prefer to avoid these set‑ups.
