“horrivel, nunca vou recomendar a ninguem”
They didn’t clean the rooms even after I called reception and went in person. There was no restriction on elevator and floor access, and staff couldn’t use a credit card even after I said I’d already paid through Booking; the hotel still requested the card again. The staff are unprepared and it’s a shame for the Merriot group to have such a unit.
“Comfortable, relaxing, excellent staff, especially Rachel and James, and location! Will definitely be back!”
Everything else was gorgeous – the rooms were immaculate, there was plenty of coffee and tea in the room, and it was a truly relaxing place, but the breakfast on our second day was disappointing: my pancakes were undercooked and the sausage was burned, which felt like a let‑down for the price we paid.
The hotel was very clean and right in the middle of downtown and the riverfront park, yet an employee kept us at an access point—probably a supply closet—causing a lot of door slamming, which was annoying for the cost, especially since the check‑in starts early.
“Not a hotel that you want to check into expecting to be able to check in on time if there are any major events going on”
The restaurant served tasty dishes and the spot was spot on, plus the room stayed spotless, but we had to wait more than two hours after the official check‑in time to actually get into our room, which pushed us past 6 PM for an event that was supposed to start at 4 PM, and the pillows and mattress left my neck and back in serious pain – definitely uncomfortable.
The place was clean, convenient, and comfortable, but the price felt high.
