“Dreckloch”

When I arrived that evening, I had to wait 15 minutes because the room wasn’t ready. The room immediately gave off a terrible vibe, so I took a closer look. It was a sporadic attic with old furniture. The walls had holes and cracks, and some plaster panels were falling off. There was trash beside the sofa, crumbs in the sofa crevices, and black particles under the sheet on the mattress—maybe dead insects? The bathroom was also in a very bad state. I left right away.

“Good Value Stay in Poprad”

The location and price were great, but the missing Wi‑Fi was a surprise.

“Oké hostel”

The location was fantastic, right on the main square of Poprad, and it’s only a 15‑minute walk from the bus and train stations. There’s also a restaurant under the hostel, nicely decorated, with good food. The room smelled very chemical; that odor was still strong the second day even with the window open. The bed felt like I was on a plank, which isn’t usual for me, but my back hurt for two days. There’s a lamp beside the bed, but it had no bulb, so I couldn’t use it.

“Nice and cozy, great value for money”

I got a solid value for the money; my room was split over two levels, with a bathroom and a small living area on the ground floor and beds on a mezzanine. A decent restaurant sat right above, and it’s about a 10‑minute walk from the main bus and train stations. It was nice to stay here and recharge after a stint in hostels. The sofa in the room could have been cleaner, but that wasn’t a big issue since I was out most of the time. Arranging to leave my bags after check‑out was a bit tricky because they open a little late, but I found a workaround.
