We received a welcoming food pack, which was a nice touch, and it’s within walking distance of Cromer. However, the snug was rough and unappealing; the sofa was full of stains, the floor was dirty, and the TV worked only intermittently. The outside space was poorly maintained. After a long, tiring trip I was hoping for a cosy retreat, but that didn’t happen. The management team was absent, and the owner simply told us to find another place if we weren’t happy, offering no refund.

“Rubbish, will definitely not return”

I booked from Friday to Monday but only stayed one night before heading home. The place was noisy, not clean, full of cobwebs and dust, and the sofa was uncomfortable and filthy. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, so we had to use the curtains as a makeshift barrier. The TV had no signal, and Ariel was handing over the curtain rail. The location was close to the beach, but the busy junction meant constant traffic and a lot of noise from the neighboring calm area.

When I left, the front gate didn’t lock, so I had to use a boot to secure it at night.

“OK, but needs a bit of TLC”

The location matched the description, close to the beach, and the enclosed garden was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the Fire Safety Certificate was almost two years out of date, and the welcome pack’s bread was already two days old when we arrived. Cobwebs were still everywhere, especially under the bed and in high corners, as other reviews mentioned. The missing toilet door was a glaring issue that could be fixed with a full-height sliding door. A clothes airer would be useful since there’s nowhere to dry towels or clothes, and an extra pillow would have been appreciated.

“Would not go back”

The bed was comfortable, but the place wasn’t clean, the chairs were uncomfortable, and resources were limited.
